Jonnie F. Mango, a native of DeRidder, LA, is the oldest of ten children born to Bill and Ardelma (Baggett) Faircloth.
is the widow of the late Elton Glenn Mango.
has two children, Freddie Wayne Mango and Cheryl Eltonette Mango.
also has three grandchildren, Shad, Freddi, and Freddie.
Councilwoman Mango is a graduate of George Washington Carver High School, she attended Grambling College, now known as Grambling State University, where she obtained a BS degree.
While at Grambling, she was an active member of the Debate Team, Drama Club and a member of Theta Alpha Phi.
Upon graduating from college, she returned to DeRidder, where she worked in the parish school system for 33 years.
During this time she was a teacher, coach, cheerleader sponsor, club sponsor, department head, and academic counselor to athletes.
Councilwoman Mango is an active member of Beauregard Church of Christ, where she serves as a Sunday School Teacher, Ladies Bible Teacher, and coordinator of ladies programs.
She is an active council member as she is part of the newly formed "Visions of the Future" committee.
