EXPERIENCE Dr. Loeb's practice
focuses on biotechnology trial work and litigation and strategic patent counseling.To achieve his clients' strategic goals, Dr. Loeb melds the technical expertise gained in more than 10 years as a bench scientist and teacher with his deep experience in all aspects of high-stakes biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device patent litigation. Since joining Day Casebeer in 1999, Dr. Loeb has litigated patent disputes before U.S. District Courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.Dr. Loeb
also represents clients in reexamination proceedings before the U.S. Patent Office, and has provided advice in patent revocation and infringement actions in various foreign jurisdictions. Before attending Stanford Law School, Dr. Loeb obtained his Ph.D. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.At M.I.T., Dr. Loeb worked at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research with its then Director, Professor Gerald R. Fink.
