Have your Bibles open to Romans 15:4-13 for this Greek Tuesday because Pastor Fisk is going to cover several alternate translation options as well as some more weird Greek grammar.
So, today, Pastor Fisk goes through the Epistle lesson of this first Sunday in Series A of the three-year lectionary and shows how Romans 13 speaks to us of judgment and the Gospel. And this episode does some pretty sweet moves as Fisk goes through Colossians 1:13-23 and expounds on the doctrine of Christ's divinity over and against ancient and modern Gnostics and Arians (Jehovah's Witnesses, anyone?). You won't want to miss this Greek Tuesday as Pastor Fisk gives a history lesson and then applies Romans 3:19-28 to the times. Heavy Law, but awesome Gospel!! Did the Resurrection Really Happen? · Higher Things

Check out Pastor Fisk's article on ways we know the resurrection really happened and that the tomb was actually empty.
It will help you as you confess the resurrection to those around you. This article originally appeared in the Spring 2012 Apologetics Issue of Higher Things Magazine. Rev. Jonathan Fisk It's kind of an important question. Pastor Jonathan Fisk serves as pastor at Bethany Lutheran Church in Naperville, Illinois. He is also on the board of Higher Things and host of the popular Worldview Everlasting videos. He can be reached at revfisk@gmail.com.

Higher Things : Welcome to Higher Things!

Shortly thereafter, during the Litany of Evening Prayer, Pastor Borghardt informed the congregation of conference attendees by way of a litany petition, that Pastor Fisk had been injured and was on the way to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Patrick Sturdivant, Assistant Registrar was able to transport Pastor Fisk to a nearby hospital quickly and safely in the Conference Staff's souped-up Dodge Charger. Higher Things Board of Directors President, Rev. William Cwirla, when interviewed, expressed concern for Pastor Fisk's health. He says, "A nose injury can be very serious. My prayer is that the damage will not permanently affect his ability to smell the aroma of bacon." All's well that ends all and the nose knows and all that; Pastor Fisk was treated and released in time to take his place as one of the 2012 Higher Things Talent Show judges. While Pastor Fisk is expected to make a full recovery, the nasal injuries he sustained may cause him to both appear strange and sound funny in upcoming episodes of Worldview Everlasting videos. Higher Things knows how to have a good time: ultimate frisbee, pickup soccer games, an iron chef contest using bacon, an illusionist who passed sharp blades through people, but left them unharmed, bouncy-house-laser tag and jousting (that did not leave everyone unharmed, such as Rev. Jonathan Fisk's nose), games, excellent performances at the talent show, and some original movies created by Lutheran youth groups. I loved the video parody of Rev. Todd Wilken of Issues, Etc. fame, and Rev. Jonathan Fisk, of Higher Things and Worldview Everlasting fame.
