Jon Bingol, CPIM, PCD is the Executive Director of the St. Joseph County Economic Development Corporation, in Centreville, Michigan, and has been since August, 1997.
He has been involved in helping organizations and individuals improve their efforts for more than 15 years. Jon holds the CPIM designation (certified Production & Inventory Manager) through APICS, and the PCD certification (Professional Community Developer) through the Community Development Council. He lives in Three Rivers, Michigan, and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Jon is also involved in the Community as the Chair of the City of Three Rivers Planning Commission, several nonprofit Boards (APICS, Action West, MEDA, River Country Tourism, SJC-CEMC) and had been on the St. Joseph County Community Mental Health Board. He has been an adjunct professor at Glen Oaks Community College, Southwest Michigan Community College, and Western Michigan University. Jon Bingol has been involved in APICS for over 12 years. He has been Chapter President of three different Chapters in Michigan and Wisconsin. He is currently: APICS Region 14 Vice President, serving on the APICS Planning Committee and APICS Finance Committee, the SWMI Chapter's Past President, Programs Director, and an instructor of CPIM and CIRM courses. He has been Region 14 Representative on the 1997 APICS Nominating Committee, 1996, 1997 and 1998 APICS TEAM Workshop Participant, and he received the 1999 APICS Student Chapter Mentor Award. Jon has been teaching APICS review courses for over 7 years and has also taught APICS Train-the-Trainer courses for Region 14 since 1995.
