Varney Sherman, Mr. Johnson Gwaikolo, Dr. David Kialain, and the list goes on.

Despite his busy schedule, I caught up with Hon. Johnson N. Gwaikolo, former Vice President for Business and Finance at the United Methodist University and now Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Public Works to verify public speculation that he was eyeing the Legislative seat of Nimba County.
Earlier, a group under the banner "Crusaders for Gwaikolo" based in Zeekehpa, Yarwin Mehnsonon District in Lower Nimba County is currently mobilizing public supports to petition Mr. Johnson Gwaikolo to fill the District slot on the ticket of the ruling Unity Party.
At the Infrastructure front, Gwaikolo is now seen as championing the road rehabilitation in Yarwin Mehnsonosh by the level of support he has provided in reconditioning the Gbanquoi-Zeekehpa highway for the first time since 1983.
According to Mr. Mehnpaine, the campaign for the election of Mr. Johnson N. Gwaikolo is built on four pillars.
In analyzing these pillars, and taking a retrospective look at who Mr. Gwaikolo is, one could clearly deduce that the people of Yarwin Mehnsonosh are blessed to have individual of high rectitude to want to represent them in the parliament.
Let's briefly analyze the pillars under consideration and its reconciling effect on the individual under consideration. Looking at education and youth empowerment, Mr. Gwaikolo has proven excellent in that direction judging from his enormous assistances given to not only the young people of Yarwin Mehnsonoh but the country at large. He has contributed widely to the infrastructure development of Nimba, especially the road network in Yarwin Mehnsonoh District and so on.
Who is Johnson N. Gwaikolo and what moral and academic strength is he bringing to the table at the National Legislature if elected by the people of Yarwin Mehnsonoh District in Nimba County? Not very strange to legislative workings, Mr. Gwaikolo served as member of the Transitional Legislative Assembly from 1991-1995 and chaired the Committee on Foreign Affairs with oversight responsibilities for agencies implementing the foreign policy of Liberia. As a teacher, Mr. Gwaikolo currently lectures at two distinct Universities around Liberia, Cuttington University Graduate Program and the United Methodist University at the College of Management and Administration. Being cognizant with activities in Nimba County, Mr. Gwaikolo also served as President of Ganta United Methodist School Alumni Association and from 1997-2000 served as UNICCO's National Chairman. UNICCO is the United Nimba Community in the United States of America.
His experience and academic credentials can not be ignored as the public needs to know detail about him. Mr. Gwaikolo is a product of the Augsburg College, Minneapolis, USA with a Master of Arts in Leadership, Bachelor of Arts in Business Augsburg College, Associate of Arts in Accounting from the North Hennepin Community College, USA and Premedical studies, University of Liberia.
Very eloquent in his utterances, Mr. Gwaikolo honestly has served his country with distinction judging from his frequent call to serve by past governments. He currently serves as Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Public Works, his second key position in the Sirleaf led government. First in 2007-2009, he served as Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 2006-2007 Vice President/Business and Finance, United Methodist University, the position he served with great distinction owing to the reform measures instituted at the University. Served from 2003-2005 as Supervisor at the Environmental Services Department, North Memorial Medical Center, Minneapolis. Executive Director, National Investment Commission, 1999; Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Labour; again Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 1997-1999; Deputy Minister for Revenue, Ministry of Finance, 1995-1997.
What is important and interesting about the quest by the Yarwin Mehnsonoh citizens to petition this great statesman is his outstanding credentials and moral uprightness in society and willingness to adequately demonstrate his enormous experience in providing relevant service to his people.
Ordinary citizens of Nimba County living outside the District are also requesting Mr. Gwaikolo to contest the senatorial seat in the county but the need to debate and carve laws usually per constitution falls directly within the House of Representatives.
It is not clear what the turning down effect for the senatorial slot by Mr. Gwaikolo will mean to the greater population in Nimba County. It can be recalled in 2005 that citizens of Nimba County were again requesting Mr. Gwaikolo to contest the senatorial seat but he again turned it down. Others have agreed with Mr. Gwaikolo in principle to go for the Representative slot since he has the ability in debating and making laws.
Information gathered indicates that citizens from Yarwin Mehnsonoh District in Nimba County are expected to converge in the District this weekend to choose their contender for the Legislative seat. Survey conducted puts Mr. Gwaikolo as favoured for the District highest seat in the County.
Launching the campaign in Careysburg outside Monrovia on Friday, July 9, 2010, Deputy Public Works Minister Johnson N. Gwaikolo said the campaign is part of activities marking the celebration of the country's 163rd Independence anniversary.
The fourteen (14) days road side brushing campaign according to Minister Gwaikolo will provide temporary employment for local inhabitants situated along the Monrovia-Ganta Highway as means of earning some money for the Independence Day celebration.
"I urge you (beneficiaries) to demonstrate total commitment to give the 120-mile highway a visible sight so as to enable safe driving, thus reducing motor accidents along the highway", Minister Gwaikolo said.
