Unser Family History
Born October 22, 1958, Johnny Unser is the son of the late Jerry Unser, the first Unser to race at the Indianapolis 500.
Jerry lost his
life at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1959.
Johnny's uncles, Bobby Sr., and Al Sr., and cousin Al Jr., continued the tradition, compiling a total of nine wins at Indy.
Johnny began his racing career full-time after completing his education at California State University where he obtained a B.S. degree in Education and a teaching credential.

Johnny's love for the outdoors have taken him on fishing and hunting excursions around the world and given him the opportunity to film episodes for various television shows.
Besides fishing and hunting, Johnny
free time with his
family enjoying hiking, skiing, biking and most anything to do with the outdoors of Idaho.
