John Ungerleider is the Co-Director of the Current Issues and Youth Activism Institute.
Dr. John Ungerleider is a professor of Conflict Transformation at the SIT Graduate Institute. He founded and has run the Vermont Governor's Institute on Current Issues and Youth Activism for 25 years. John also founded and directs the Child Labor Education and Action (CLEA) project for Vermont teens to work against oppressive child labor, and the SIT Youth Peacebuilding and Leadership Programs for teens from communities in conflict around the world, such as recent groups from Iraq, Burma, Turkey, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Cyprus, Liberia, Yemen, East Timor, Mexico and Bangladesh. As a Fulbright Senior Scholar he facilitated conflict resolution activities in Cyprus. John wrote and performs a musical "co-opera" about global warming: Secret of the Seasons. John Ungerleider, Ed.D.
Professor of Conflict Transformation and Sr. Education Advisor John is a professor of Conflict Transformation at SIT Graduate Institute. He founded and directs the SIT Graduate Institute Youth Peacebuilding and Leadership Programs for teens from communities in conflict around the world, as well as the Vermont Governor's Institute on Current Issues and Youth Activism. John started the Child Labor Education and Action (CLEA) project for Vermont teens to fight oppressive child labor practices. As a Fulbright Senior Scholar he facilitated conflict resolution activities in Cyprus. This past year, he directed dialogue programs with multi-ethnic youth from Iraq, Serbia, Cyprus, Armenia-Azerbaijan, the UK, and Denmark.
John Ungerleider is a musician and professor of conflict transformation at the SIT Graduate Institute.
He authored and has performed around New England his original "co-opera" about global warming, Secret of the Seasons. excerpts from his Co-opera. Speaking about his reason for creating the Co-opera, Ungerleider said, "facing the over-whelming reality of global warming understandably causes fear, denial, and paralysis.

John Ungerleider, Ed.D. is a Professor at the School for International Training where he teaches graduate courses in Conflict Transformation, Intercultural Communication and Organizational Behavior. John also teachers Conflict Resolution at Hampshire College and recently taught in Spain at the master's program at the Bancaja Institute for Peace and Development. In 1997-98, John was a Fulbright Senior Scholar in Cyprus, coordinating bi-communal conflict resolution activities.
