, a retired electrical engineer , died June 21 of complications from a stroke and cardiac arrest at Greater Baltimore Medical Center.He
was 68 and lived in Cockeysville.Mr. Ruhlmann joined Westinghouse Electric Corp. in 1965 and worked at the Hunt Valley and Sykesville plants
.He retired as a senior engineer in 1995
taught computer science at Loyola College
from 1987 to 1990.Born in Atchison , Kan. , he was a 1960 graduate of the University of Kansas , where he received a degree in electrical engineering
.He received a master's degree from Loyola College
served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957.A ham radio operator , he
received a citation for keeping communications open during a 1957 flood in Atchison.He
also was an amateur cook and baker , and raised vegetables.
In 1960 , he
married Therese Regina Davis , who survives him.
A Mass was offered Tuesday.He
is also survived by three sons , John J. Ruhlmann of Bethesda , George M. Ruhlmann of Waldorf and Dr. James A. Ruhlmann of Hutchinson , Kan. ; a daughter , Regina R. Shaffer of Burke , Va. ; and seven grandchildren.
