Delegate John Pino has filed for re-election to the West Virginia House of Delegates in District 29.He is a graduate of Mount Hope High School and the founder/owner of Pino Construction Co., a longtime masonry specialist and general contracting firm.

He has served as speaker pro tempore and as vice chair of the Committee on the Judiciary. He currently serves as chair of the Commission on Interstate Cooperation, is a member of the Committee on the Judiciary, the Committee on Constitutional Revision, Roads & Transportation, and the Health & Human Resources Committees.
At Pino's request, he was appointed to serve on the Select Committee on Senior Citizen Issues. He states that the large and growing percentage of seniors and the challenges they are facing is a West Virginia dynamic which can no longer be ignored; thus, the need for this committee and its work is of paramount importance to all West Virginians.
Along with his legislative service, Pino served the citizens of Oak Hill as chair of the Board of Zoning Appeals for 20 consecutive years. He was also a director of the former nonprofit Plateau Business Development Corp.He continues to serve as treasurer of the Fayette/Nicholas Chapter of the American Red Cross. He is a member of the BC&GRR in Clay County and strong supporter in the effort to make it a tourist destination. He has been effective in getting funds for economic development and water extensions via CAEZ, school improvement projects, ambulance acquisition, libraries, and supports potential college access at the former Big Otter Elementary.
In shaping his decision to seek re-election, Pino stated he was terribly bothered by the emerging tendencies of the media, certain enterprises and even some elected persons to put down faith communities (churches).
