One car in a 49-car train derailed near Bridgeville early Wednesday, eventually tipping four other cars filled with coke before the train was stopped in South Fayette Township, police Capt. John Phoennik said. The Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway Co. train was stopped at 6:16 a.m. behind the vacant Reichhold Chemical plant on Presto-Sygan Road that parallels Route 50.Phoennik said 47 of the 49 cars were filled with coke, a byproduct of coal, including the five that derailed.
