He has published articles recently dealing with mental illness and the impact it has in the criminal justice system, and has presented on civil trial matters, landlord tenant law, environmental law, and federal criminal defense. Attorney Pendleton is a past recipient of the Robert Kirby Award, recognizing a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association as an outstanding attorney, 35 years old or younger, demonstrating excellent advocacy and personal characteristics. John recently stepped down after serving three years as president of the Board at Seacoast Mental Health Center, and now serves as the chair of its development committee and its finance committee. He is a past Vice President of the Board of New Hampshire Legal Advice and Referral Center, as well as an Executive Committee Member of the Board of New Hampshire Legal Assistance. John has also served as a youth soccer, baseball and hockey coach, and currently coaches a squirt travel hockey team in seacoast area of New Hampshire. He is a graduate of Trinity College of Hartford Connecticut and the University of Richmond T.C. Williams School of Law, in Richmond, Virginia. Attorney Pendleton received his B.A. degree from Trinity College and his J.D. degree from the University of Richmond. Attorney Pendleton has twice been on the NH Bar Association's Board of Governor's and served a number of years on the New Hampshire Bar Association's Ethics Committee. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for NH Legal Assistance, as a member of the Steering Committee for the Campaign for Legal Services, and on the NH Supreme Court's Access to Justice Commission. Attorney Pendleton serves the State of New Hampshire as the current Vice Chairman of the New Hampshire Plumbers Licensing Board. He serves his community as the Vice President of Seacoast Mental Health's Board of Directors.
