John Iglehart US Dept of Commerce/Minority Bus Development Agency John F. Iglehart was appointed the Dallas National Enterprise Center Regional Director of the U.S. Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) in October 1994. As Regional Director, he is responsible for the administration and direction of all MBDA programs in the Dallas Region which includes Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. The MBDA programs that he oversees are accomplished through competitive awards for the purpose of providing management and technical assistance to minority businesses in order to assist with their survival, expansion, and start-up.

Before his present position, Mr. Iglehart served as the Chief of the Advocacy and Outreach Division for MBDA Headquarters, Regional Director for the New York Region, and Acting Director for the Washington and San Francisco Regional Offices. He served as the Deputy Regional Director of the Washington Regional Office from 1979 to 1991. He also served in various other capacities within the agency from 1972 to 1979.
From August 1970 to May 1972, Mr. Iglehart served as a Manpower Development Specialist with the U.S. Department of Labor. During the period April 1969 to August 1970, he was employed by the Manpower Assistance Project.
Mr. Iglehart has received numerous awards attesting to his unmatched dedication, talent, professionalism and untiring efforts in the course of helping to foster minority business development.
Mr. Iglehart is a native of Waco, Texas and a product of the Waco school system. He obtained his BA Degree from Arkansas AM&N and his MA Degree from Prairie View A&M. He and his wife reside in McGregor, Texas.
