Before joining The Partnership, Hudson served as an external affairs executive at Alabama Power Company, working in roles of increasing responsibility including Assistant to the President and CEO and as Area Manager of the Birmingham Division, the company's largest division. Hudson also has worked as a journalist for both The Huntsville Times and The Birmingham News. Integrally involved in the community, Hudson serves on the boards of Miles College, Miles College School of Law, Alabama Community Development Corporation, Compass Bank Young Executive Board, Birmingham Museum of Art, 100 Black Men of Birmingham, Inc. and the Jefferson County Economic and Industrial Development Authority. Hudson holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Alabama A&M University, is a cum laude graduate of the Miles College School of Law, and completed post-graduate work at the Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania. He is married to the former Nyya Parson, an attorney in Birmingham.
