The lifetime president of the Class of 1948, Jack was a graduate of Whitehall High School and Leica and Bolex Technical School as well as other photographic technical schools.
Drafted into the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, he
earned the rank of Buck Sergeant and was an official Marine Corps photographer.
The first bio-medical photographer in the Lehigh Valley, he established the Department of Medical Photography at Allentown Hospital (Lehigh Valley Hospital, Bio-Medical Photography Department) in 1960 and was employed for 33 years before retiring in 1993.
In 1995, he was elected president of the hospitalâ€™s retirees association and often fulfilled the role of master of ceremonies at many affairs held at the hospital.
Jack was a member and former Vice President of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Biological Photographic Association and received a citation from the International Congress of Plastic Surgery for excellence in photography.
An avid gardener and singer, he performed with various vocal ensembles and choral groups, including singing bass and serving as the spokesman with the comedy quartet, The Allenaires, for 35 years.
He was a member of the Allentown-Bethlehem Chapter of the Society for Presentation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America for 55 years where he served as board member, bulletin editor, vice-president, and president and also served on its Mid-Atlantic District as the Area Counselor and Public Relations Director.
