COLUMBUS, Ohio - John Hardiman, a twenty-five year veteran of social services, joins the Community Shelter Board as Program Director. Hardiman has managed, designed and implemented social service programs within central Ohio with a special focus on housing issues and youth. As the founder of two youth group homes, program director for Gladden House and chief administrator for state supported community programs, Hardiman became familiar with the impact of housing issues on individuals and the community. Hardiman has worked with local and regional government, as well as, business and community organizations throughout the central Ohio region.
As Program Director, Hardiman will be responsible for the coordination with CSB partner agencies and other agencies to ensure homelessness prevention, shelter, supportive housing, and related services are delivered effectively. Hardiman will also assist with community education. Hardiman is a graduate of The Ohio State University's School of Social Work.

The Capitals' two Columbus founders are seeking to blend their interests in sports and social services awareness by forming the team , which will operate as a nonprofit , said co-founder John Hardiman , who has 25 years' experience in social services.
Hardiman is program_director for the Community Shelter Board and a consultant with the Ohio Department of Youth Services.
Hardiman and Watson will look for players from area high schools and colleges , including Ohio State University , who aren't first-string varsity but want to continue playing.
And Hardiman said he's prepared to offer mentoring , scholarship help and other social services to athletes who are struggling socially.
Our interest is trying to provide opportunities to young people 18 to 28 years old , Hardiman said.If we can help try to open doors for them , all the better..
The team already has 20 recruits for its planned 40-man roster , Hardiman said.
The Capitals' 12-game season will run from mid-June through September , with playoffs in October.The team is negotiating to play at Reynoldsburg Middle School's 500-seat stadium for its six home games.
Players won't be paid because that would eliminate their college playing eligibility should they choose that direction , Hardiman said.
In_fact , players will be asked to pay a fee of $ 75 to help defer uniform and equipment costs.
