Gilmore joins Four Seasons
05/05/2008Four Seasons Produce Inc. in Ephrata, PA, announced that industry veteran John Gilmore joined the organization April 28 in the role of director of procurement. "With over 30 years of very successful leadership, management and produce procurement experience in both wholesale and retail sectors, John is very well suited to lead our team of purchasing professionals," Ron Carkoski, president and chief executive officer of Four Seasons Produce Inc., said in a press release.
...Mr. Gilmore began his career in purchasing at General Produce Co. in Sacramento, CA, in 1977.After 13 years of service at General, he joined Albertson's Inc. in 1990 as a produce buyer in its Sacramento office.At Albertson's, he was promoted to senior produce buyer and served in that capacity at both the Denver and Brea, CA, distribution centers.
In 1995, Mr. Gilmore
accepted the position of produce procurement manager at Albertson's Tolleson
, AZ, location and subsequently accepted similar positions at the firm's Lancaster, PA, and (most recently) Fort Worth, TX, facilities.
After an extensive three-week orientation program, Mr. Gilmore
will assume his
duties at Four Seasons
