John Flaschner, Board Member John Flaschner serves as Director of Public Relations and Community Outreach for the PGA TOUR's TPC Network, where he is responsible for overseeing all national and regional public, media and community relations for the Network's 21 premier golf clubs. Among his many responsibilities, Flaschner spearheads a national military fundraising campaign in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense benefiting military homefront groups that directly serve troops and their families. PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL (January 20, 2005) - Golf industry veteran John Flaschner has been named by the PGA TOUR as Director, Public Relations & Communications for Tournament Players Club Network (TPC).

In his new position, Flaschner will be responsible for spearheading the TPC's numerous public relations initiatives; facilitating internal and external communications within TPC and the TOUR; and assisting in the planning and programming of GOLF 20/20, an annual summit comprised of the golf industry's top leaders aimed at accelerating the growth and participation of golf, as well as creating new avenues of access into the game.He will also be responsible for furthering the TOUR's charitable giving effort through the TPC's, including the TPC's focus on contributing to the U.S. Golf Tsunami Relief Fund - an alignment of the major U.S. golf organizations created to assist with recovery and rebuilding efforts following the catastrophic tsunami last month.
Flaschner joins the TPC's after serving as Executive Director of the American Golf Foundation (AGF), where he mobilized thousands of volunteers nationwide to conduct charity golf tournaments and other golf-related fundraising activities for a variety of grass roots non-profit organizations.He also distinguished himself as a leader in the effort to make golf affordable and accessible for juniors, inner-city youths and women by collaborating with key golf industry organizations to create and develop golf instructional and outreach programming.Prior to joining AGF, Flaschner served for 13 years in public relations, communications and marketing with American Golf Corporation following a successful career in hotel management.
