Rumson, NJ (February 28, 2012) - Rumson Mayor John E. Ekdahl is pleased to announce that Rumson Restaurant Month is returning for its fourth year in March with many unique dining experiences and plenty of savings.
"We are happy to celebrate Rumson Restaurant Month, a great show of community spirit with 100 percent participation," says Ekdahl
"This event is particularly helpful to the restaurants and our community due to the months-long closure of the OceanicBridge for repairs.
Rumson Restaurant Month will give diners a great reason to make Rumson their destination and give a boost to restaurants being affected by the closing.
Diners - local and from other towns - will be able to take advantage of great diversity of eateries for every taste and budget in our charming town.
With special dining deals and welcoming restaurants, Restaurant Month is a great way for people from outside of the area to experience restaurants that they may have never visited before; and for those of us in town it's a great excuse to dine out close to home."
Mayor Ekdahl had some more good news to announce: the Oceanic Bridge's reopening is ahead of schedule due to the mild winter weather!
And if the temperate weather continues it will reopen the weekend before its original date of Memorial Day weekend!
"The Oceanic Bridge is now scheduled to reopen the weekend before its original date of Memorial Day weekend," says Ekdahl
"This is great news for Rumson's businesses and those who used the Oceanic Bridge on a regular basis," said Mayor Ekdahl.
