John A. Darin is the President and CEO of NADAP, Inc.
is a multiservice nonprofit agency dedicated to helping people with medical, behavioral health, and social service needs become self sufficient.
has 40 years of experience operating social service programs that help disadvantaged populations in New York City, Westchester and Nassau Counties.
develops and operates innovative programs that improve the quality of life for participants and help reduce their dependency on public programs and other government resources.
services include comprehensive assessment, intensive case management, job preparation, placement and retention services.
has over 30 years of diversified programmatic and administrative experience in the field of social services.
Mr. Darin joined NADAP in 1997 and under his leadership, NADAP has grown from 16 staff serving 1,000 clients to 200 staff serving over 30,000 clients annually.
He serves as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Justice and to the U.S. Department of Education.
He is the Vice-Chairman of The Coalition for Community Services and serves on the Commissioner of the New York City Human Resources Administration's Citizens Advisory Committee.
He is the Co-Chairman of the Job Creation Sub-Committee of the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services' (OASAS) Talent Management Committee.
In 1998, he
was selected as a National Fellow Leader from Boston University's
Join Together National Fellow Leadership Program.
has developed a curriculum, funded by the New York State Empire State Development Corporation
called "Skills Development Training" and has trained over 300 members of the building and construction trade unions on techniques used to enhance their work performance.
Mr. Darin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (BBA) from Bernard M. Baruch College.
is also a New York State Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), and an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC).
