I came to John because I had a 62lb dog with poor manners and bad habits. I was at my wit's end and feeling hopeless. After discussing with John my concerns regarding Gator, we decided to train him with an electronic collar.

John was able to show me how to be more assertive with the dogs. It seems like overnight, we went from a dysfunctional family to a functional one! We not only have better dogs, but now my husband and I can take our dogs for a walk off-leash with better control now than we previously had on-leash! That is just one of the many benefits we have from our training with John.
I highly recommend John to everyone. If you want better behaved dogs or have a dog with some bad habits, John can help you.

John taught me how to train her in the most effective way. Next, I enrolled her in John's four week Off-Leash training. In this class, Pearl learned to come when called and to heel when walking off of her leash. I saw remarkable results after just four classes. We then enrolled Pearl in the 2nd level of obedience classes. In this class, she learned to stay even when I left the room. She also learned more advanced commands. At the end of this class, I was amazed at how far she had come from her very first class. The classes also help your dog to socialize with other dogs. I highly recommend John's classes and John as a trainer. He is excellent with the dogs and is always available if you have questions.

After my dog Ringo, a Nova Scotia Duck Toller Retriever (NSDTR) completed the Basic Training Class given by John Dahman, Ringo was still being stubborn on some commands. At this point I decided to purchase an Electronic Collar, but I wanted to use it properly and safely but still get the necessary results of training to benefit Ringo and myself. I called John Dahman and he offered 4 Electronic Collar Training Sessions with Ringo and myself to work on basic use and training with the collar. After the first session Ringo would follow me and return off leash upon command. During session 2 thru 4 we worked on other problems that Ringo had and being as stubborn as he is these problems are now very minimal with the use of the collar. I have 2 other, very small dogs and I have the collar on Ringo whenever he is around the small dogs just as a safety factor being that he is 4 times bigger than them. I feel that the time and money spent on the proper use and training with this collar with John Dahman is well worth it.

I made inquiries at my veterinary office about obedience trainers in the area and John Dahman, was one of them that was recommended to me.
Rascal and I began training with John. One day before class started I read some information he had regarding Dog Guard out of sight fencing. Later I discussed with John how the fencing could benefit Rascal. Shortly after our conversation our fence was installed. I was pleased with the prompt, professional manner the fence was installed and the caring follow-up service that was provided.
This is a "special thank you" to John Dahman, Dog Guard and his staff. Rascal is happier now to be untethered to a tie-out when he goes outside and Annie....well Annie, is not so anxious anymore!

We needed training, so we enrolled her in John Dahman's basic obedience class at Cindy's Critter Camp.
John has trained thousands of dogs and their owners. He's truly an expert in canine behavior and is always willing to share his knowledge. During class, when owners would approach John with various unusual problems, he was more than willing to listen and always gave great advice.
Tessa is now finishing up advanced obedience with John.

Finding John Dahman was a real treasure for me and my Basenjis. Not only did he recognize the different training needs of my dogs, he also was willing to let me adapt his commands to fit our show training needs as well. He had excellent suggestions for dealing with Jagger, the stubborn one, as well as Quinn, the skittish one.
Training with John has turned out to be a very pleasant and fruitful experience, both for me and the Basenjis!

Cindy listened to the issues Radar & I were having and suggested the beginning Obedience classes with John Dahman. Cindy also suggested that I should start having Radar sit & wait for a moment before I let him outside and before I fed him. This met with some protest from Radar the first few times…as he was spoiled. Then he got the idea and began to comply with my commands.
During the past 5 months, Radar and I have completed 6 weeks of beginning obedience, 6 weeks of intermediate obedience, and will be completing 4 weeks of electronic collar training with John as our instructor. John's classes were always fun while he taught us important skills. He would always begin and end classes addressing any questions or concerns we had, and the best part was the classes were small enough to where if there was an issue he could help us. John had many favorite sayings such as " I am going to teach you, to teach them," and "these critters love to learn. Those are my 2 favorites and they are so true.
The training did not end when we left class. It took time, patience, and dedication to work though the exercises at home which began creating a bond between Radar & I. Each week during class Radar made me proud of the progress we were making.
Soon Radar & I will be completing the electronic collar training which John teaches individually.

"Thank you John," for sharing your wealth of knowledge and encouragement that has helped change Radar from a "Crazy Corgi" into the fun loving companion.

We enrolled him in the basic obedience class at Cindy's Critter Camp with John and we began to see Barley change. Getting him into a class where he could "learn how to learn" helped us and Barley adapt to living together. Barley became happier having tasks to learn every day, and it helped him channel his physical and mental energy.
We were so pleased with our results and with John's expertise, that we enrolled him in John's electronic training course. Now, we have what I personally never thought possible-a dog that comes when called and can walk with us off-leash! And not only that, John helped us correct all of Barley's jumping and digging issues as well. We cannot say enough of John's expertise and it is obvious that his skills are backed by years of experience. Because he has trained such a vast number of dogs, John helped us to avoid all kinds of common problems we could encounter being new to dog-handling. That way, we were able to work with John to very quickly, easily, and painlessly train our dog to come when called and heel off-leash. We recommend this affordable training class to anyone with a dog of any age.
Thank you, John, for helping to turn our dog into a better behaved, happier dog!

This is a testimonial for John Dahman. We have a German Shepherd who is what John calls a rebellious teenager. We enrolled her in the beginner and intermediate classes at Cindy's Critter Camp. Dakota still needed help. Thanks to John he helped by talking us into us doing the electronic training. After doing that she is much better. Dakota still needs some work, but she is at least easier to live with. Thanks John!

Thank you John, she was difficult to train, but she is a great little bird dog now.

Teary-eyed, I called John and desperately asked for help. I didn't want to lose my dog. John immediately put me to ease and told me that wasn't going to happen and he will correct Nick's behavior. He suggested the electronic collar training.

I can't say enough about John Dahman. He has a wealth of knowledge, is an expert in dog training, very compassionate and is always available for you, the owner. He definitely is a master in his trait! I highly recommend John and Cindy and will always remember what they have done for Nicholas and us.

We had worked with John before on a previous lab we had and knew that John knew his stuff. We decided we better enroll TJ into the basic obedience class. After the third session and TJ doing what John said to do before we even had the chance to tell TJ what to do we realized it was time to go to the next level. After the 6 week session we went to the electronic class. This was
