John ChorazyJohn Chorazy John is also editor of The Ever Dancing Muse, a semiannual poetry publication since 1993. Me on John: The first time I heard one of John's poems was the first time I attended the Mendham retreat, when he ignored the prompts during the first evening session and wrote a poem he said had been nagging at him for some time.I was, well, floored, by the beauty and facility with which he wrote.His poetic instincts in a workshop setting are superb -- he was able to improve at least two of my poems radically by pointing out precisely where to cut or what needed to be recast. Also of note: John runs a monthly poetry reading series at The Montclair Public Library in NJ.He has also coordinated and hosted the annual courtyard reading at The William Carlos Williams Centre, and The Pop Lounge Poetry Series. John on "Pink Bike Skirt Maxims": Bike Skirts heralding the exhuberant arrival and frantic emotions of spring ... hopefully caught in the poem is a sense of color and warm earth aroma, maybe a frenetic portrait of exotic cyclists slipping through New York City like young bees anxious from flower to flower.

John Chorazy has been the editor of The Ever Dancing Muse, a semiannual poetry publication, since 1993. His poems have appeared in numerous magazines, and he has presented his works at several venues. He presently works as a teaching artist in residence for the New Jersey Writers' Project and Arts Horizons and performs regularly with Glue Puppet, a music and poetry ensemble.
