...JOHN AUGUSTYNIAK - Association Manager RMY Management Group, L.L.C. (RMY) is proud to welcome seasoned association executive John L. Augustyniak, Jr. as the firm's new Association Manager.
is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of RMY's client associations along with developing new business opportunities in the area of association management services.John comes to RMY after a serving as Manager, State Society Development with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
capacity with the AOA
was responsible for the continued development of volunteer leaders and paid association management staff of the AOA's state associations.These included the areas of leadership development, strategic planning, continuing medical education development, and also serving as Executive Director for several small state osteopathic associations. Prior to the AOA, John served from 1996-1999 as Manager, Volunteer Services with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
tenure with AHIMA
was responsible for assisting in increasing membership and participation in AHIMA's specialty group activities, including an almost 15% increase within one of the association's six specialty group areas.He also served as the central office manager for the Illinois Health Information Management Association (ILHIMA) during his time with AHIMA. John began his association management career with the international association management company, Smith, Bucklin and Associates (SBA), serving as an Account Coordinator.
During John's time with SBA, he
was involved in many different areas of managing client associations including working on transitioning a large healthcare association client into the firm environment.
Prior to work with and for associations, John
worked in the areas of Corporate Customer Service and Banking. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance from Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Illinois.He
is also involved in the association industry thru his
participation as a council member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Council on Component Relations and as a member of the Association Forum of Chicagoland's
