There is a story, a very influential legend within Shia Islam, about Ali
grandson Husayn, both of whom perished a kind of murder in the cathedral, in the case of Ali
in the mosque, and in his
grandson at Karbala where he
was killed in, I believe, 682 in common era.
About four years later, women came to Karbala, in today's Iraq, and began to beat themselves and lament that they had not protected the grandson of Ali
