According to John Agnelli at Power Corp., the 26-acre commercial parcel has about 16 acres that can be developed.
There are three lakes now and they're in the process of adding a fourth and about 10 acres will include a preserve area and a mitigation area. The development is expected to be anchored by a supermarket and the land will have two outparcels, which could include space for a gas station or convenience store. Agnelli says they're still seeking tenants for the property. Agnelli says Power Corp. is still finalizing plans for the residential land, but they currently have a development order for a 156-unit condominium community.

John Agnelli, developer of Tara, said the hotels will both have 80 rooms. The name or type of restaurant hasn't been decided, Agnelli said."We're just doing basic permitting with the county to save time down the road," he said.

"It's a legitimate bill and the golf course can't afford to pay for their irrigation," said John Agnelli, developer of Tara. The golf course, which is up for sale because Tara-Manatee has sold all the residential land and wants to move on, already pays up to $70,000 a year to the district for maintenance of the landscaping throughout the community, he said. The reason that the electricity bill had risen was that the developer was subsidizing it, Agnelli said."The bill was always there, we were just the ones paying for it," he said.Pfeiffer met Agnelli twice this week to discuss the charges and reached an agreement requiring the district to pay electricity fees of about 2.40 cents per 1,000 gallons of water pumped from the ponds.
