"One of the first things I remember about Joey
hustle in all sports was legendary.Even in neighborhood pickup games, Joey
always played to win, and he
certainly gave me the initial thrust I needed to start a career as a major league player, and later as a coach.During my first years in pro ball, I would often call on Joey
to help me over the next hump, and he
was always there with advice that made sense.I've seen how he
handles young people, and it's truly a gift. His
academy will be a success, because he
is putting all his
efforts into it, and when Joey
goes for something, he
brings it home."
and I have been friends and brothers since 1983.
"As a friend and business partner, I can say without hesitation that Joey
is one of the finest athletes I have ever met.More importantly, his
desire to teach the game he
loves so much is unmatched. As a father of four himself, Joey
definitely knows how to teach the fundamentals of the game to youngsters.Additionally, his
approach brings a great deal of enthusiasm and fun to every camp.I would not hesitate to send my kid's to Joey's
camp, since I know they will learn the right way to play the game of baseball and have a great time in the process!"
