The American Legion Tag Agency
in Winter Haven will also start opening on business days at 8:30 a.m. beginning in January as well.

Tax Collector Joe Tedder is estimating over 22,000 customers will come through their offices the last two weeks of December, making it the busiest time of the year at the Tax Collector's Office.
December 31 is the deadline for a 3% property tax discount, as well as mobile home and heavy truck registration renewals.
In addition, service centers will also be serving driver license customers, many of whom are students out for winter vacation and seeking permits.
And, due to the season, holiday closings will reduce the hours of operation for walk-in services.
"All these factors create the perfect storm of high traffic through our service centers this time of year.
Luckily, taxpayers have other options to avoid long lines," states Tedder
Tedder and his team have been busy this fall, spreading the word about their easy, online payment portal, www.ClickOrStick.com, where taxpayers can go and conduct many of their tax payments and renewal transactions.
And now, all four service centers are offering driver license services.

illustrated the problem, "When people use Google
or other search engines to find our Tax Collector's Office for online services, etagsdirect.com tricks people making them think they have gone to our website."

citizens to only go to an official Tax Collector website, such as www.PolkTaxes.com, to get online registration services."
