The Credit Union House inducted Ventura County Credit Union President Joe Schroeder into the Hall of Leaders on March 8.
was recognized for his
significant contributions as an advocate of the "credit union movement" on a local, state and national level.
was acknowledged for his
membership and participation in the Credit Union National Association's
Consumer Protection Subcommittee, and for his
previous service on the Credit Union Leagues'
Government Affairs Committee.
leadership, the Ventura County Credit Union
also implemented an outreach program to agricultural workers in the county and has since opened 500 new memberships to workers who previously had no financial institution.
The Credit Union House's Hall of Leaders is a reminder to all who visit of the many who have volunteered their time to perpetuate the credit union movement.
Schroeder received the distinction along with Desert Valleys Federal Credit Union CEO Eric Bruen.
and Bruen are the third and fourth inductees from California since the program's inception in 2008.
