Nunn Named CowBelles Man of the Year Joe Bill Nunn, Deming, was named the New Mexico CowBelles' (NMCB) Man of the Year at the organization's recent summer meeting in Tucumcari, according to NMCB President Genora Moore, Lamy."We have a lot of husbands that do a lot of things for the women and for the industry," said Welda McKinley Grider, Carrizozo, who presented the award."Of course, we have more nice men that do things to help us than one award a year will cover, but this is a way of picking out and honoring someone who has been tireless in their support."Nunn and his family live and ranch northeast of Deming, near Florida, New Mexico.He and his wife of 37 years, Lauren, run black baldy cattle on Nunn Ranches in cooperation with their family.Nunn is active in the New Mexico Cattle Growers Association, serving on the Board of Directors and numerous committees; is the President of the Southwest Grazing Association, and serves on the State Land Office Grazing Advisory Board.
