Joe Head Solo/Acoustic Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter BMHOF Class of 1992 Joe Head has been performing on the Buffalo music scene for the past 23 years, delighting listeners of all ages with his incomparable voice and styling. Joe has been a solo artist as-well as being a member of the distinctive vocal trio, The Thirds. For most of his career, Joe has been appearing in area nightclubs on a regular basis, in addition to appearances as an opening act for the likes of Dave Mason, 5th Dimension, Rosalie Sorrels, and the long-standing closing act for Comedy Night at the original Tralfamador Cafe. Also, Joe is an opening concert fixture at Shakespeare in Delaware Park, where he has appeared every year since its debut. With the Thirds, Joe has opened for Spyro Gyra, Loudon Wainright 111, Roy Buchanan, Blue Rodeo, Eric Anderson and others. Joe was honored for writing the theme song for Goodwill Industries, "The Man of Joe has also appeared in four stage productions, providing vocal music in "Starting Here, Starting Now ... .. Jesus Christ Superstar," "Montage," and "Rattlesnake in a Cooler. In 1983, Joe and the Thirds released their album, "Songs From the City Line" to critical acclaim, and in early 1990, Joe released a solo EP cassette entitled "Driftwood," which has found its way to fans across the country. Joe received Buffalo Music Awards in 1988,1989 and 1990, and won a Night-Life Peoples Choice Award in 1990 as Well.
