Joe Faro is the President and CEO for Multigrains Bakery.
came to America in 1957 from Sicily at the age of 14.
Unable to speak English and traveling alone, Joe
is a great example of the "American success" story.
Through hard work, much trial and error, and a never-say-die ethic, Joe
started several businesses in the Lawrence-Haverhill MA area, and one of those businesses, Joseph's Gourmet Pasta Company
, turned into a great success.
Joe also developed Joseph's Trattoria and Bakery
, a highly successful high-end Italian restaurant in Haverhill, and of course has Multigrains Bakery
in Lawrence MA. Did I mention that he
also "loves to bake?
It is Joe's second great passion: wife and family being number one!
first opened a small retail bakery shop in Haverhill, Massachusetts in 1976, offering old world Artisan breads and pastries.
As word spread throughout New England of the great products being produced at Mr. Faro's
bakery, Joseph began delivering product to restaurants and retail stores in the area, moving to a 15,000 sq ft. building that was soon outgrown.
Demand for his
baked products was beginning to come from outside of New England.
vision to service large restaurant chains and supermarkets began to take shape, and the process to create great breads that can be served at their "peak of freshness" also began to take shape and grow.
In 2001 Joseph sought out and was able to secure our current location in Lawrence, Massachusetts; which is a 135,000 square foot "state of the art" complex designed to support anticipated growth in the coming years for Multigrains.
Joseph also knew it would take a great team that was as committed as he
was to great bakery products, and great customer service to properly develop and handle growing demand.
Over the past few years Mr. Faro
has been able to hand pick a dynamic group that has worked together to generate tremendous growth, great customer loyalty and satisfaction, and is poised for continued growth through creative innovation in all facets of the business.
