Nominations are due Tuesday, but Blazier
will continue to accept nominations after that if he
doesn't receive enough.Blazier
insists this is not a promotional tool; rather, the company wants to positively impact Northern Colorado.
"We don't consider it as a write-off; we have enough," he
said of the donations, which will cost the roughly $30 million company $60,000 to $100,000."We want to do our best to try and help the community."He's
received four nominations, a start for a program he
hopes will be a success.
"We're piloting in this market," he
said, "and if it takes off in Fort Collins the way we think it will, then we'll roll it out in Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs and Phoenix over the coming years."
