Joan M. Bosisio

Joan M. Bosisio is group vice president of Stern + Associates (Stern), a full-service public relations, marketing and digital communications agency specializing in thought leadership programming, with offices in Cranford, N.J. and Boston, Mass. Having joined Stern fresh after graduating from Seton Hall University (SHU) in 1997, she now draws from her long company history to help shape and drive agency strategy, generate new business, provide senior counsel and strategic direction to the firm's clients, and attract, retain and develop staff.
Leveraging Stern's Connected Communications® approach, fusing traditional media, digital, marketing and direct engagement strategies, Joan
develops and leads outreach campaigns including Stern's prospect engagement, media relations and speakers bureau activities.
Responsible for building Stern's reputation as a desired employer, she
spearheads recruiting, onboarding, talent assessment and professional advancement, and has created training and development tools designed to increase employees' knowledge adoption and effectiveness in contributing to the firm.
With expertise in public relations, marketing and branding to support business growth goals, Joan
has developed and implemented successful programs for business-to-business and consumer clients in a range of industries including healthcare and medical devices, technology, and architecture and design - many of which have been recognized with industry awards.
Outside of the office, Joan is an adjunct professor of public relations and professional adviser to the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter at her alma mater SHU, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications.
Active within SHU's Pirate Mentor and Communications Honors Alumni Mentoring Program (CHAMPS), and as recipient of SHU PRSSA's 2005 ROPE Mentor Award, she
provides job search, interview, résumé, presentation and etiquette guidance to students.
A board member and former two-term president of the Public Relations Society of America's New Jersey chapter (PRSA NJ), Joan currently serves as PRSA NJ's liaison to the state's six student chapters and director of digital communications, setting the direction for member engagement and managing the online footprint for this professional association.
