Jo-An Turman is the Vice President of Entertainment Industry Partnerships and Real Estate Broker for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA). Jo-An is committed to raising awareness for the need of affordable housing for hardworking, low-income families and individuals. As the V.P. of Entertainment Industry Partnerships she works with all genres of entertainment industry partners including actors, athletes, musicians, directors, producers, writers, entertainment executives, corporations and studios. Jo-An holds a Master's degree in Education and Real Estate and a Bachelors in Afro-American Studies and Communications. Jo-An has helped Habitat for Humanity build homes alongside President and Mrs. Jimmy Carter and other volunteers here in the U.S., Haiti and Thailand. Jo-An has been a mentor to several young people who she has met over the years and through her foundation. She was born in New York City and raised in Los Angeles. Jo-An is married has one grown daughter who is a Producer. Another accomplishment that is near and dear to her heart is being blessed with the opportunity to be a co-founder and director of the IX Winds Ranch Foundation's "Camp Gid D Up". The IX Winds Ranch Foundation is a non-profit 501 c (3) founded by Jo-An and her Emmy® Award winning veteran actor husband Glynn Turman in 1992.
