The AGCP is extremely proud to have Jimmy Sharpe as our after dinner speaker for the 2010 Roundtable dinner on Thursday night. Jimmy knows a few things about winning and being successful in life, and he wants to share some of what he has learned over the years with us.
Jimmy played football for Coach Paul Bryant at the University of Alabama and was a member of the 1961 National Championship team.

Jimmy accepted and became an assistant football coach at Alabama . For the next 12 years, he would learn from the "Best" and be a part of one of the greatest college football eras. Bama would win three more National Championships, ...1964, 1965 and 1973 while Jimmy was there.
In January of 1974 Jimmy accepted the position of Head Football Coach at Virginia Tech University and he coached there for 4 seasons. He remained in college and professional coaching until 1986 as Assistant Head Coach at Mississippi State University, Assistant Head Coach at the University of Pittsburgh, and Assistant Head Coach at Memphis State University before finally serving as the Assistant Offensive Coordinator for the Memphis Showboats of the USFL Professional Football League.
In 1986 Jimmy left football to pursue a career in real estate and continues to be a real estate developer today. In addition to his development business Jimmy is also a popular speaker and frequently gives talks about what it takes to be a Winner... a consistent Winner! Practice, practice, and more practice...!
Lately Jimmy has been involved in Men's Ministry and speaking to Iron Men Groups. He will be talking to us about "The winning edge and knowing who you are and what you can do".
Jimmy is the brother-in-law of AGCP member Bob Williams, the Pasadena Clubfitter.
