Jimmie Foster, Jr., Director of Freshmen Admissions at the College of Charleston in South Carolina since 2008, has been named Dean of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation at Northeastern University in Boston.
At the College of Charleston, Jimmie guided the enrollment efforts which led to an improved national and international reputation among talented students, chaired the admissions selection committee and developed admissions policy.
Prior to his time in Charleston, he served as the Associate Director of Admissions at George Mason University in Virginia.
has also spent time working on political campaigns. Â He
has been a presenter at national professional development conferences including NACAC
, ACT, NRCCUA and Noel Levitz.
was recently able to combine his
passion for English football and working directly with first-year students when he
co-taught an eight-week seminar on the economics of soccer that culminated in a study abroad experience to the United Kingdom.
He holds a B.A. in Government & Politics from George Mason University and is nearing the completion of his M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Drexel University (PA).
