Reverend James West PASTOR Pastor Jim West earned his Bachelor's Degree from Pasadena College, and his Bachelor's and Masters of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary in 1972.
In 1973, he
was ordained to the ministry in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.Following graduation, he served for several years as Associate Pastor of Knox Presbyterian Church.
In 1975, he
answered a call to pastor Grace Community Church in San Jose, where he
served for eight years.In 1983, he became the pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Shafter, California - a congregation part of the Reformed Church in the United States (RCUS).
Three years later, he
wife moved their young family to Sacramento.Since 1986, Pastor West has faithfully served as Pastor of Covenant Reformed Church. Besides his pastoral duties, Pastor West serves as Professor of Hermeneutics at City Seminary, and is the President of the Western Classis of the Reformed Church in the United States.He
has authored numerous books and pamphlets, including Christian Courtship
Versus Dating, The Art of Choosing Your Love, The Covenant Baptism of Children, The Glorious Foundation of Christ
, and Drinking with Calvin and Luther.His
articles have appeared in "Table Talk," "Modern Reformation," "Westminster Theological Journal," "Banner of Truth," "Chalcedon Report," and "The Reformed
