Jim's extensive trial experience includes conduct of a number of jury trials.

regular appearances in B.C. Supreme Court
Jim obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of British Columbia.
Following service as an officer in the Canadian Navy he obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta.
was called to the Bar of British Columbia
Jim is a founding member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and is also a former member of the Board of Governors.
He is also a past Provincial Council member of the Canadian Bar Association, and Past President of the Nanaimo County Bar Association.
Jim is also active in the community, and serves as a Director of the Nanaimo Port Theatre Society and Chair of its Membership Committee.
He is also a member of the Malaspina Choir.
