"It's been a good board, and we have good administration and good faculty," he said."I have a very good feeling about the school and the community - during the past few referendums especially - has been generous.I felt I wanted to make sure the campus and the programs are maintained.""One of the qualities I feel I bring to the board is common sense," he added.Sundquist has lived in the school district all his life.Following a two-year stint with the Army he attended vocational school in Eau Claire and college in River Falls.He moved back to Grantsburg where he met and married his wife, Caren, who is currently employed as a lab technician at St. Croix Regional Medical Center.They have three grown daughters who attended Grantsburg Schools, one now a senior at UW-Stout, another in the U.S. Army at Fort Meade, Md. and the youngest a sophomore at UW-Eau Claire.Sundquist has served for more than 20 years as Burnett County's Veteran Service Officer, hired in 1981.His public service record includes serving more than eight years on the Grantsburg Village Board.
