Jim Martz is the founder, publisher and editor of Florida Tennis Magazine, which has served as the Voice of Tennis in Florida since 1992 and is a winner of the USTA's national Media Excellence Award.
Previously Martz was a sports writer and columnist with the Miami Herald for 22 years, and before that he was at the Des Moines Register sports department for nearly three years.
has written four books on University of Miami football and one on UM baseball, and edited the book "50 Love, Advantage Florida," a history of the USTA
Since 1992 Matz also has been editor of Canesport Magazine
He is a native of South Bend, Ind., received a B.A. at Alma College in Michigan and an M.A. at the University of Iowa.
