"This meeting is really about listening to you," said Jim Houk of OHM.

The company has been studying land use of the areas, of which Houk showed maps dividing it into three areas: A north area near downtown Farmington, with office space, multi-family housing, a commercial center and long, narrow lots; a middle area, site of the M-5/Grand River split, where drivers can move onto a bypass or stay on Grand River; and a south area, with Botsford Hospital, and fast-moving traffic on a six-lane road.
