Jim Henderson, B.S.A., M.B.A., F.C.A. Executive Director

Executive Director of the Alberta Business Family Institute in the School of Business at the University of Alberta, Jim was formerly President of Grande Prairie Regional College, Vice-President Resources of Grant MacEwan College, Vice-President Student and College Services at Keyano College, and previous to that, Director of Education for The Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba and Alberta.
Jim holds a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Sciences in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba.
He is a Chartered Accountant in both Alberta and Manitoba and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in both provinces.
During his career Jim has been a full-time or part-time faculty member at the University of Calgary, University of Winnipeg and Mount Royal College, and has been a guest lecturer at The University of Manitoba, Alberta College, Grant MacEwan College and Grande Prairie Regional College.
As part of his
contributions to post-secondary education, he
has published articles and lectured on effective presentations, exam-writing techniques, predictive indicators of success and coping with the stress of examinations.

Jim has been a member of Rotary since 1992, having been a member of the Fort McMurray, Edmonton Glenora and Grande Prairie clubs and is Past President of the Rotary Club of Fort McMurray.
