Manager, International User Conference
Environmental Systems Research Institute, ESRI
Jim Henderson has worked with ESRI since 1985, first as trainer and technical support anaylyst.
Since he first began working with ESRI, GIS has become a pervasive technology that underlies a wide variety of software applications, such as the navigation system in our car, the maps and directions we get from travel web sites, and maps of voting results we see on TV during the election night coverage.
Henderson's job at ESRI
has evolved into management of the international User Conferences, the most important being the annual meeting in San Diego with over 14,000 attendees, the largest gathering of GIS professionals in the world.
Henderson is also a Board Member for the Southwest and Pacific Chapters of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA).
He's a member of the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping (ACSM) and the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA).
