Born and raised on a ranch near Paso Robles in north San Luis Obispo County, Jim
knows and loves the land.
He earned a degree in Crop Science from Cal Poly and has extensive knowledge of soil types and microclimates.
has farmed land throughout the North County from Santa Margarita to San Ardo and from Templeton to Creston.
has lived near Paso Robles all his
life except for five Years.
During those years he
explored other areas and businesses including the produce business in southern California and commercial and residential Real Estate in Texas.
"It was a great education, but the net effect was a greater appreciation for the"Central Coast".
return to the North County and the farming and ranching business, the knowledge he
had obtained led him into Real Estate development.
In, the mid 90s he retired from his Ag Operations and turned his efforts to the marketing of primarily rural Real Estate.
Community activities have been extensive over the years as a Trustee for Templeton Schools
and the County Regional Occupational Program.
Jim is a charter member of the County Ag Task Force and has been on the Board of Directors of Farm Supply Company since 1986.
There are numerous other state and local Director involvements but Jim
has narrowed that down to just Farm Supply.
