Under Governor Jim Aslin, he served as District 5500 Secretary and is currently assigned as the central region's Assistant Governor in 2007-08.He
is currently DGN.His
district service also included facilitating at several district assemblies and a SETS and PETS facilitator in 2006 and 2007.He is a Paul Harris fellow. Trained as a teacher he later became an Assistant High School Principal, Principal and then Superintendent.He served three districts as Superintendent of Schools for over 18 years.He served on several educational advisory boards in New York State prior to coming to Arizona.He
was named one of Executive Educator's Top 100 School Administrators in 1988.He received his doctorate in educational administration from Teachers College, Columbia University in 1989.He
retired in 2004 and currently provides consulting services to underperforming schools through the Arizona Department of Education and the Wallace Leadership Foundation
Married for 31 years to his
wife, Carolann, they have two children Stephanie and Matthew.Stephanie is a special education teacher and completing her Masters degree in mental health counseling.She
is married and has a 15 month old son.
