Jim Albamont, Director of Technology
has over 14 years' experience designing, architecting and maintaining large software systems.
While working for the Air Force he received his M.Sc. in Computer Science, focusing on scientific computing and data visualization.
was published in Image and Vision Computing for research on a new method to create 3D computer models of real-world objects.
Over the next 10 years, Jim
specialized in large-scale software projects involving C++, Qt, and high-performance 3D graphics.
First at JT3, designing the graphics subsystem of a real-time data collection and display system.
Later at KDAB
, a boutique software consulting firm where he
led the 3D portion of large Qt porting projects and taught Qt classes.
Jim holds a B.S. in Physics and Math and a minor in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University.
