Jesús Fuenmayor
Jesús Fuenmayor is a curator based in Caracas, Venezuela. Fuenmayor has been the Director of Periférico Caracas, a contemporary art space since 2005, where he has organized more than 30 exhibitions. This year, he has been the advisor for "Ciudad Sensorial", a program of urban interventions by artists which he founded for the Sucre Municipality in Caracas. He has also been a member of CIFO's Honorary Advisory Committee since 2009. He was an advisor to Museo Jacobo Borges, Caracas, 1992-1995; associate curator at Espacio 204, Caracas, 1995-1997 and held a post as a curator for the Museo Alejandro Otero, Caracas, in 2004.

As part of PINTA Miami's curatorial projects this year, curator Jesús Fuenmayor will present a series of artistic proposals that explore the incorporation of time in the work of art, focusing on works that are sensitive to the relation between the temporal and the spatial.

Jesús Fuenmayor is a curator with more than thirty years of experience in the organization of exhibitions, consulting on collections, as well as serving as editor for art publications.
From 2012 to 2015, he was Director and Curator at CIFO Art Foundation, Miami, and from 2005 to 2011, Director and Curator at Periférico Caracas, Venezuela. In 2004 he was curator at the Museo Alejandro Otero, and in the years 1996-1998 he worked as the museologist at the Dirección General Sectorial de Museos, Consejo Nacional de la Cultura in Caracas.
He has organized curatorial seminars at various venues, including the Fundación Mercantil, and taught at the Universidad José María Vargas, Faculty of Architecture, School of Graphic Design in Caracas.
