primary focus is to ensure that client's liability exposure is limited when entering into real estate and financial transactions.To this end, Ms. Lipson
counsels clients in management of cleanups under state and federal laws, including, but not limited to, the New Jersey Spill Act, the Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA), the Federal Superfund law, and underground storage tank laws.In this capacity, Ms. Lipson
represents diverse clients, including commercial lenders, individual borrowers, prospective purchasers and sellers of contaminated property, individual homeowners and commercial tenants.
Additionally, Ms. Lipson
assists clients with commercial, industrial and residential development of contaminated properties, including development of single family homes, development of condominium associations and commercial/industrial development.Ms. Lipson
also coordinates environmental and developmental due diligence activities, ranging from single family underground storage tank remediation to complex industrial cleanups.
Prior to joining Cole Schotz, Ms. Lipson
was a senior environmental engineer at Merck and Co., Inc.
at Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, where she
supervised environmental due diligence projects, managed complex remediation and performed environmental audits worldwide.Previously, Ms. Lipson held several technical positions as a chemical engineer and manufacturing supervisor with Merck and Co.
Inc. in Rahway, New Jersey and Barceloneta, Puerto Rico.Ms. Lipson
is fluent in Spanish.
