Jeron Carr § Lynn Reed § Katia McHaney § Jeff Clarke § Mary Kalita § Charlotte Hill § Jeron Carr - Science and Mathematics Teacher; Technology Specialist Jeron Carr grew up in Monterey Park, California. In high school, he was involved in a variety of activities including: scouting, debate, band, swim team, drama, and math tutoring. Jeron attended Cornell University graduating with a BA in Physics and MAT in Science Education. He worked as an Earth Science teacher at Ithaca High School and later assisted in database management and web design for a start-up Dot.com before joining the Peace Corps as an English/Science/Mathematics teacher. While in the Philippines for 2 1/2 years, Jeron taught students and teachers at the Elementary and Secondary levels at several local public schools. His work included developing student-directed science labs, creating science and math workbooks, technology training, grant writing, and swim coaching. Before joining Bullis, he worked for Kaplan, Inc. as an instructor for its SAT, GRE, LSAT and DAT prep programs. During his first four years at Bullis, Jeron has worn a variety of hats. This year, he is excited about continuing to improve and refine the Environmental Science curriculum at Bullis including further strengthening Bullis's relationships with Hidden Villa, the Farallones Marine Sanctuary Association and the Leatherback Fund. In addition, he will continue to work on other science, technology, and mathematics projects and classes. Jeron also looks forward to another year of student construction projects, juggling, and yearbook-making as part of the extra-curricular program.
