Jeremy D. Shapiro
A graduate of the Monash University School of Medicine
in the late 1980's, Dr. Shapiro
internship and residency at Prince Henry's Hospital and the Monash Medical Centre
. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1995 after training in Haematology and Medical Oncology at the Alfred Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
For the next 3 years, Dr Shapiro
pursued interests in laboratory and clinical research whilst completing a Medical Oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute
and the Bethesda Naval Hospital
in Maryland, USA.His
research interests include gastrointestinal and ovarian malignancies, new drug development, and design and conduct of clinical trials.In addition to his practice in South East Oncology, Dr Shapiro holds appointments in the Medical Oncology Units at the Alfred Hospital, and at Monash Medical Centre, and is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medicine, Monash University.
Michelle White MBBS (Hons) FRACP Grad.Dip.Pall Care
Dr. White completed medicine at Monash University
in the early 90's.She
subsequently completed her
early medical training at Monash Medical Centre
.In 1998 she became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians after training in medical oncology at Peter MacCullum Cancer Centre, St. Vincent's Hospital and the Alfred Hospital. She then gained clinical experience in palliative medicine at Monash Medical Centre while completing the Diploma of Palliative Care at Melbourne University.
