Jeremiah A. Daley was appointed the Executive Director of the Philadelphia-Camden High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Program in July, 2004.
Prior to his appointment to the HIDTA post, he served as an Inspector with the Philadelphia Police Department, where he commanded the Northeast Police Division, with overall responsibility for four patrol districts and about 600 personnel, serving a population of 400,000 residents.
was a 24-year veteran of the department, having previously served in various patrol assignments, the Civil Affairs Unit, the Training Bureau
and the Narcotics Division.
He is a graduate of Temple University (BA- Criminal Justice, 1988), the Northwestern University Traffic Institute Police Administration training program (where he received the Franklin M. Kremel Leadership Award, 1991-1992), the FBI National Academy program for law enforcement managers (1997), and the John F. Kennedy School of Government's Senior Executive Fellows program (2002).
In 2008 he
was conferred a Master of Business Administration degree with concentration in Public Administration at Holy Family University
, and received the Richard Galup Award for Leadership.
He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Police Chiefs Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and the steering committee of the Coalition for a Drug-Free/Violence-Free Philadelphia.
is a life-long resident of Northeast Philadelphia, currently living in the Morrell Park section.
